Busy Week

Wow has it been a VERY busy week.  Since last Friday I have created 14 dozen cake pops and a really cool cake.  Pretty proud of myself and my helper (my wonderful mom).  Granted we have had numerous late nights, like 1:30 but it all got done.  Since I work (I am a teacher) I can not start baking until at least 5 and then my little one (he's 2) wants to help all the time so I really cant start creating anything until he goes to bed, wow!  Anyways I have had fun this week coming up with some new creations, I finally got to do a Mr. Potato Head, he turned out so cute, cant wait to have a whole order of them.  I also did a cat and a monkey that I have always wanted to do too.  I had an order for poodles, they were a lot of work but do have to say turned out pretty cute. Getting worried there for a while what they were going to look like.  This week I did my last cake, I think I am sticking to cake pops, pretzels and marshmellows.  Too stressful for me.  Hope you all enjoy the pictures I will post.  I am willing to creat anything, just give me an idea and I can (hopefully) come up with it!

New Challenge

So I was asked to make Lego cakepops this week for a boys birthday.  I thought how easy will those be.  Well I need to remember the easy ones are always the hard ones.  The Lego face ones were pretty easy but the Lego blocks need to work on.  Cute idea but I think I need some practice on them.

Busy busy busy but fun!

My sons birthday was this past week so I was busy with preparing and celebrating with him but then the love holiday was just around the corner.  So I made some conversation heart cake pops.  So easy and wish I would have made more.  This week also consisted of making pigs and frogs for a Valentines day party.  A princess was having a birthday so I made crowns, so cute also.  And tonight it is martini time!  I love trying new things but it is also nice to do something that I am use to.  In the near future I will be trying some new ideas that I can not wait to share.

Busy few weeks

Well it has been a busy few weeks.  When it rains it pours but in a good way.  I have had a couple orders every week for the last few weeks.  It has been fun coming up with new ideas and I have to say I have outdone myself this week.  I am so proud of The Very Hungry Caterpillar cake pops.
I hope you enjoy the pictures following.  I am taking a break next week, it is my son's 2nd birthday and his party is on Sunday.  Sad to say he will not be getting any pops but I am making sugar cookies for decorating, dipped pretzels and playdough for the kiddos.  So no down time for this cake pop making mama!  I will return the following week with a full week of orders.  I am very excited about one of the orders.  Cant wait to see what come out of my kitchen this time!

Christmas & other

Hi all ,
Hope you are all having a happy holiday season.  I have been busy baking in the kitchen with some fun new projects.  I had an order for a bunco night dessert, a movie night popcorn pails and then snowman and friends pops.  The best was the snowman cake, which I have to say turned out better then I expected.  The best part of all of it was my son this morning, we woke up to him in the fridge putting his finger in the snowman (was not frosted yet, just the insides where I stuck the two balls together).  It was classic!
Anyways along with finishing up teaching for year (we are off for 2 weeks), I was making dice cake pops, more popcorn boxes, snowman, reindeer and santa hat cake pops & dipped pretzels.  Then I was fortune enough to make a cute snowman cake for my best friend and her welcoming her son to CA party.  I think I am done until after the holidays. Now to focus on Christmas day and what to serve (minor detail).
Happy Holidays to everyone out there!

Wow another long month

Sorry it has been a while, I have been busy in the kitchen.  The holidays are a busy time, I have done numerous orders for cake pops but there has been no holiday type pops.  They have been for various birthdays and movie nights.  On top of doing cake pops I usually make dipped pretzels to give as gifts during the holidays so in my free time I have been busy dipping and sprinkling.  I just love the holidays.  Since I have not been on in a while I will be posting many pictures of my latest creations.  I decided to take on 2 new creation pops that I "thought" would be easy.  One order was for martini glasses that I thought would be difficult but would be fun to try and the other was the character Domo.  The two that I thought would be hard were not as bad as the golf balls that I thought would be easy.  Hope you enjoy the pictures and there will be more to come in the upcoming weeks.

Let the holiday's begin

It's been a while since I posted anything sorry but I have been busy popping away!  Candy pops that is.  I have done a couple of fall kind of pops, birthday pops and my friend had a movie night and only found it appropriate to make popcorn pops.  Can't believe the holidays are quickly approaching and the calendar is filling up quickly.
